Leadership Development

Leadership is a valued quality in our society. Those who possess leadership capabilities are both respected and admired. Teaching this quality to community members, both young and old, can result in stronger individuals as well as a stronger community as a whole.

Preparing a meal with a group allows someone the opportunity to assume a leadership role, plan and prioritize the process, and direct others in achieving it. As with leadership development in many other areas, the process highlights the importance of good communication skills and affords participants many fast-paced opportunities to practice those skills.
