Preparation for Entering the Workforce
Cooking provides an opportunity to learn a variety of work skills such as organization, problem solving, math, literacy, time management, setting priorities, cooperation, communication, and consistency. These skills not only prepare one for a career in the culinary field, but will also transfer to many other fields.
By starting out young and teaching our youth these necessary characteristics through cooking and food, it becomes more likely that the percentage of youth pursuing a higher education will increase. Subsequently, we can be sure that generations to come will grow to provide a strong and robust work force.
